You know the old saying “You can’t pour from an empty cup.” Heck, you spend half of your work week reminding others of it. Inside, you know that to be a good helping professional, you have to take care of yourself first. But for some reason, you just can’t implement it. Dealing with high stress in a relationship-intense environment on a daily basis is taking it’s toll. You’re tired of feeling emotionally exhausted, disenchanted with your work, and out of balance in your personal life, but you’re unclear about the right steps to take to fix it.
We can help you transform the way you understand yourself, your impact on others, and recover from burnout. Using an integrated experiential approach informed by research and best practices, we teach helpers how to help themselves. Dr. Estrella offers one on one therapy, and runs a special group weekly if you know you’d benefit from social support and a variety of perspectives from others in a similar boat. Dr. Schaepper offers one on one psychiatric and psychotherapy services. In therapy or group, together we will explore your strengths, secondary stressors, and ultimately your vision for a work-life balance. Through our work together, you’ll learn the skills to manage your stress response, gain clarity in your career goals, and fill your self-care cup!
It’s time to rediscover that patience and eagerness for work and life again. You can count on us to provide a caring, straightforward, strength-based approach to get you there. Call to re-ignite your passion for service today!

Ideal for partners at any stage-dating, committed, or married, who want to strengthen their relationship.
Hold Me Tight® is an 8 session relationship education & enhancement program for clarifying your vision together and nurturing emotional closeness with your partner. This workshop is based on the international best-selling book “Hold Me Tight: 7 Conversations for a Lifetime of Love” by Dr. Sue Johnson. The educational and experiential workshop introduces core concepts of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, heralded as one of the most effective couples therapies to date.
At our Hold Me Tight Workshop you will learn and experience how to:
- Clarify your vision and affirm strengths for your relationship
- Get unstuck from repeating patterns of arguing or silent distancing that cause frustration and pain
- Make sense of the strong emotions and needs that can surprise both of you in the relationship
- Begin the process of repairing relationship injuries, even old ones, and understand how to move forward and forgive
- Increase feelings of trust and intimacy, playfulness, and fun
- Learn how to take the great conversations you start at the workshop and keep them going at home!
In preparation for the workshop, we recommend that you purchase and begin reading the book that the workshop is based upon: “Hold Me Tight: 7 Conversations for a Lifetime of Love“. We have found that couples who have read at least part of the book (the first four chapters is a good start) feel like they are stepping into the workshop with some helpful background, and can take more ground more quickly.
Please note, our program is not designed for: a couple in which one or both partners is clearly no longer engaged in the relationship, is actively involved in a secret affair with a third person, or there is physical or emotional abuse (threat, degradation, humiliation, etc.). We recommend that couples in these situations seek active couples therapy and other support before attending.
