HELLO, I AM
Julie Estrella, PhD, LMFT
As humans we are hard wired to connect and yet somehow we still miss one another. It takes courage to risk in relationships, commitment to stay connected, and vulnerability to move towards shared meaningful experiences. When life throws you off your path, I am here to partner with you and your loved ones in giving you the resourceful and strategic support you need to find your strength and get back on the path to living a life you love. Let’s find ways to celebrate our relationships with one another, including ourselves, in the here and now.
Perhaps you are dealing with major life transitions, navigating parenthood (as in your couple relationship) or career? Getting into a relationship or marriage, becoming a parent (or struggling with parenting), sex-related problems, career changes, dating after divorce, dealing with family structure losses or changes?
Or perhaps you are a helping professional who’s looking for support balancing your full plate or recovering from burnout? Wanting to set aside time for yourself and/or your most important relationships? Therapy can improve your quality of life and transform difficult transitions into meaningful experiences. If you want to create vibrant and healthy relationships, clarify your work-life vision, or strengthen intimacy with your partner call today to set up a free 20 minute consultation.
My professional training includes a PhD and MS in Marriage and Family (MFT) Therapy (IMF #107131) from Loma Linda University, seven years of clinical counseling experience, extensive training in Emotionally Focused Couples and Family Therapy (EFT) and more recently in training for sex and intimacy coaching. I am also an American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor. I am bi-lingual (English, Spanish) and partner with couples, families, and individuals to bring forth our best selves in our relationships, careers and sex lives, especially helping professionals (therapists, MDs, nurses, teachers, clergy, etc).
Like many these days, I wear lots of hats and bring additional life experience to my work. I have an MPH and background in non-profit management, 10+ years experience in community development in the Inland Empire and internationally. I teach in local universities and host strength-based professional capacity building workshops. My husband and I have two incredible kids and love this crazy journey called parenthood.
